Meet the Madeen Rewards Maximizer and Card Finder — Free Web Tools for Smarter Rewards
Madeen's new Rewards Maximizer and Card Finder help you compare thousands of U.S. credit cards, model cap-aware rewards by spend category, and find your best wallet — no bank login.
Madeen compares public issuer terms with its card-rule catalog. Issuer pages control rewards, fees, benefits, exclusions, and eligibility; Madeen does not issue cards, make approval decisions, or provide financial advice.
Madeen now ships two free web tools built on the same catalog that powers our iPhone app: the Rewards Maximizer and the Card Finder. Both run in your browser with no account and no bank login.
Rewards Maximizer: model your best wallet
The Rewards Maximizer answers a question most spreadsheets get wrong: given how I actually spend, which cards earn the most — including caps, fees, and welcome bonuses?
Enter monthly spend across five categories (Dining, grocery, gas, Travel, and everyday). Madeen ranks every card in the catalog using cap-aware effective-rate math — bonus earn up to each card’s stated limit, then base earn above it — and shows:
- Estimated annual rewards with net-of-fee and first-year totals
- How much you beat a flat 2% card on the same spend
- Best card per category, with expandable “why it won” details
- Wallet-size control — optimize for 1, 2, 3, or unlimited cards
- One-tap presets (Foodie, Family, Traveler, and more) plus sliders to tune spend quickly
Welcome bonuses are included by default when your modeled spend meets each card’s minimum spend window. Toggle them off in Filters to see ongoing rewards only.
Card Finder: browse and compare the full catalog
The Card Finder is Madeen’s interactive table for discovery and side-by-side comparison:
- Filter by issuer, personal or business, network, and Annual fee
- Sort by sign-up bonus, total benefits, or category effective rates
- Pin up to five cards and compare fees, rates, and perks in one view
Use it when you know you want to explore options — issuer families, premium Travel cards, no-fee Cash Back — without modeling spend first.
How Madeen values rewards
Both tools use Madeen’s standard cash-equivalent valuation for points and miles in the catalog snapshot. We show raw multipliers and effective percentages so you can compare apples to apples. Issuer terms control caps, exclusions, and activation requirements — always confirm current terms before applying.

iPhone app: payment-time picks for your wallet

Frequently asked questions
What is the Madeen Rewards Maximizer?
The Rewards Maximizer is a free web calculator at madeen.app/tools/rewards-maximizer/. Enter monthly spend across dining, grocery, gas, travel, and everyday purchases and Madeen shows the best card per category, annual rewards, welcome-bonus impact, and how much you would earn versus a flat 2% card — using cap-aware math across the full U.S. catalog.
How is the Card Finder different from the Rewards Maximizer?
The Card Finder at madeen.app/cards/ lets you filter by issuer, fee, and network; sort by bonus, benefits, or category rates; and pin up to five cards side by side. The Rewards Maximizer answers a different question — given your spend, which cards maximize rewards in each category?
Do these tools require bank login?
No. Both tools use Madeen's published catalog snapshot only. They do not connect to bank accounts, read transactions, or store card numbers.
Can I limit results to a small wallet?
Yes. The Rewards Maximizer lets you optimize for a 1-, 2-, or 3-card wallet, or maximize across all categories with no card limit. One-tap spending presets and sliders make it easy to model different lifestyles.
What Madeen tools are coming next?
An annual-fee break-even calculator and welcome-bonus feasibility tool are on the roadmap at madeen.app/tools/. The iPhone app remains the best way to get payment-time picks for cards you already own.
